AIA/CES & IIDA Seminar - Flooring Safety By Design

Continuing Education   As of January 1, 2000, The American Institute of Architects (AIA) have changed the amount of Learning Unit Hours (LU Hours) required. AIA members now need 18 LU Hours and 8 hours of Health, Safety, and Welfare.

International Interior Design Association   IIDA Members will receive 0.1 Continuing Education Unit (CEU), equal to 1 hour of CEU credit. Altro will register the credit for you. IIDA members must have a total of 1.0 CEU credits within a two year compliance period.

Altro contributes by offering a seminar entitled "Flooring Safety by Design" an informative seminar examining the issues why slip resistant flooring must be chosen carefully. Sections include:

Specifying slip resistant flooring

How to select a safe floor

Criteria for the selection of slip resistant surfaces

This seminar qualifies for 1 LU hour including Health, Safety, and Welfare. These seminars are given in local hotels, to state chapters or in an architect's office. To obtain more information, please download our Flooring Safety by Design seminar overview and sign-up sheet or our Flooring Safety by Design guide.

Installation Seminars

Altro offers installation clinics throughout North America, by appointment. Please contact us about organizing one in your local area with flooring contractors who are likely to work on an installation.
