For those suffering critical injury, survival is often placed in the hands of a trauma center. With usually less than an hour to act, everything, including the floors and walls, needs to be clean, safe and hygienic - for both patients and providers.
Naples Community Hospital (NCH), located in beautiful Naples, Florida, sought to construct a freestanding ED trauma center, an emergency department built off-site from the main hospital.
In trauma centers, patients are rushed in and can sometimes stay for a few days. Providers don’t want to be thinking about how the interior finishes are holding up while trying to administer aid, especially when treading life and death’s narrow line.
To prepare for these needs, be it in the first hour or on the fourth day, NCH chose to install the durable and safe Altro Suprema vinyl sheet flooring and the hygienic Altro Whiterock wall panels.
