Hampden Academy is a public high school in Hampden, Maine. Recently identified as one of the top high schools in Maine, the academy is home to a dedicated staff and student body. When Hampden Academy needed flooring, they looked to a manufacturer who also outperformed the competition.
WBRC Architects/Engineers out of Bangor, Maine worked with Paul White Tile who installed 93,000 square feet of Altro Quartz Tile throughout Hampden Academy classrooms and corridors. The architects chose Altro Quartz Tile for its durability and aesthetics. The Hampden Academy corridors needed a product suitable for the most demanding areas with heavy traffic from their students.
Eleven different colors of the product were used, including both chipped and non-chipped hues of creams, greys, yellows, and blues. The Terrazzo-flecked look appealed to the client and enhanced the design of the classrooms and hallways. Paul White Tile enjoyed working with Altro Quartz Tile for the ease of installation and maintenance. Also used was Altro’s Ecofix 25 Pressure Sensitive adhesive, which allowed for a quick and simple installation.
Altro Quartz Tile presented a solution that pleased architects, installers, and end-users alike, allowing the staff and student body to continue to excel.
